SUMMARY:Lime Kiln Theater\, Lesington\, VA\, The Steeldrivers\, opener: Tanasi
DESCRIPTION:OPENER: Tanasi “To me\, TANASI is Appalachian music without guardrails — a sound that’s a culmination of our ever-evolving\, unconventional paths\, shaped by unpredictable winds\, formed by unexpected hands\, and forged together with joyful\, emergent strength.” TANASI is a worldgrass trio rooted in Appalachian string band tradition while moving freely and respectfully through global musical landscapes. Featuring the pioneering slide work of Billy Cardine alongside the luminous\, tightly interwoven harmonies of Anya Hinkle and Mary Lucey\, the trio creates music shaped not by genre boundaries but by decades of listening\, travel\, and shared experience. \n\n\n\nHEADLINER: Only Nashville could give birth to a band like the SteelDrivers: a group of seasoned veterans –each distinguished in his or her own right\, each valued in the town’s commercial community –who are seizing an opportunity to follow their hearts to their souls’ reward. In doing so\, they are braiding their bluegrass roots with new threads of their own design\, bringing together country\, soul\, blues\, and other contemporary influences to create an unapologetic hybrid that is old as the hills but fresh as the morning dew. This is new music with the old feeling. SteelDrivers fan Vince Gill describes the band’s fusion as simply “an incredible combination.” Specializing in a unique mix of what might be called bluegrass soul\, the SteelDrivers have become one of the biggest names in progressive bluegrass after making their debut in 2005. \n\n\n\nLime Kiln Theater is a non-profit organization that enriches the community’s culture by producing and presenting the arts in our unique historic spaces. Attending a show at Lime Kiln is a unique and immersive experience. The natural stone walls\, trees\, and stars overhead blend perfectly with the folk\, roots\, and bluegrass tunes that cast a spell and get toes tapping in our audience every season. Our Bowl venue holds 675 guests on our wooden benches and grassy spaces\, giving you the option to bring your own chairs and blanket and get cozy. Each season\, we host area food trucks and open our doors over an hour before the show begins\, giving you time to catch up with friends over delicious local fare. We also partner with local breweries and wineries to provide a wide assortment of beer\, wine\, and cider. More than just a concert\, attending a show at Lime Kiln Theater is a one-of-a-kind experience\, and one we hope you enjoy over and over again.

SUMMARY:Lime Kiln Theater\, Lesington\, VA\, Dan Tyminski Band\, OPener: Garrett Boys
DESCRIPTION:OPENER: Every family has its own unique history\, a timeline fleshed out by memorable characters\, milestone events\, and the stories passed on through the decades that bind it all together. For the Garrett Boys\, a family trio from Overton County in east Tennessee\, their history just happens to lend itself to some excellent Appalachian folk music. \n\n\n\nHEADLINER: Dan Tyminski was six years old when his parents began taking him to fiddle contests\, square dances\, and bluegrass festivals across New England. For a young musician who would later become one of the biggest names in modern-day bluegrass\, those early experiences were life-changing. “Watching live music always spoke to me much louder than sitting in front of my record player\,” he remembers. “I loved it. Wherever music was being played\, I wanted to go watch. Years later\, I still feel that way.” \n\n\n\nLime Kiln Theater is a non-profit organization that enriches the community’s culture by producing and presenting the arts in our unique historic spaces. SUMMARY:The Sportsman Tavern\, Tavern Dwellers
DESCRIPTION:This old-time string band will have you dancing in your seat! \n\n\n\nThe Sportsman Tavern serves great cocktails\, doesn’t accept reservations\, and has bar games. It’s a Sports Bar & Dive Bar with live music. The Sportsman Tavern on Edgar Avenue is no stranger to the Ronceverte community. It opened in the 1930s and remained open until the 1970s\, closing only briefly as it changed hands. In early 2023\, local developers Mark Trent and Dan Withrow led an eight-month community effort to purchase\, gut-renovate\, and reopen The Sportsman. Their goal was to create an inclusive community hub that sparks broader revival in Ronceverte. Floral tributes from local businesses and leaders marked the grand reopening as an actual town celebration.
