Country Blue features Lewisburg residents Mel Waggy on vocals and guitar and George Piasecki on base (and the occasional washboard). Their music is best described as classic country and blues with a twist. Their repertoire includes many well-known traditional country hits, some acoustical blues numbers, and numerous original Americana songs. For the past 9 years they have been having lots of fun playing for audiences at various venues including the Fresh Water Festival, Tamarack, Greenbrier Brewery, Hawk Knob Cidery, and regularly appear at local festivals like Alderson Fall Festival, Renick Country Fair, and Lewisburg Winter Music Festival.
